Original Item: Only One Available. This wonderful condition summer tunic and pants are fabricated from a white cotton material. The shoulders are adorned with Cavalry Rittmeister shoulder boards, incorporating two rows of fine silver flatware "Russia Braid" double piping, the end creating a button hole for a pebbled aluminum button. The sides, underside, and securing strap are Goldgelb (Golden Yellow) wool, the Waffenfarbe (Corps Color) during WWII for Cavalry, as well as reconnaissance and armored reconnaissance units with cavalry traditions. The shoulder boards also bear 2 rank pips, which indicate the officer rank of Rittmeister (Riding Master), equivalent to a Hauptmann (Captain) in most other combat corps of the Heer.
There are four pockets on the front, one on each breast and larger ones at the waist on both sides, each designed with a decorative pleat and pebbled buttons, each of which is maker marked and are held in place by rings on the underside and embedded in the pleat.
The right breast above the pocket is enriched with a Summer Army breast eagle insignia pin held in place via two horizontally-aligned vertical loops in white threading. The front has a vertical row of four metal buttons with pebbled uppers, also maker marked, held in place by rings on the underside and visible on the inside of the tunic.
The breeches are in similar condition and both items are without heavy staining with the possibility of having been cleaned at some point.
